Underpasses in the Municipality of Menemeni, Thessaloniki

Description

The project concerns the abolition of the existing level crossing for vehicles and pedestrians over the railway lines at CH. 0+902.10 of the Thessaloniki – Florina railway line and the restoration of the break in the urban fabric caused by the presence of the railway lines in the wider area of the Municipality of Menemeni. The project makes it possible to abolish the current level crossing of the railway lines on Agias Paraskevis Street, resulting in improved road traffic conditions in the area and safer movement of pedestrians and vehicles. The level crossing on Agias Paraskevis Street is the only connection between the areas on either side of the railway lines, from the Thessaloniki Passenger Railway Station (Agion Panton Street) to Agamemnonos Street (west of Dendropotamos, in the area of the Municipality of Evosmos).
