Description

construction of a new double railway line, approximately 35 km in length, on the section from Evangelismos Railway Station to Leptokarya Railway Station, with signalling, remote control, telecommunications and electrification. the project includes: substructure works of the new railway line track superstructure works along the entire length of the new railway line, with the application, for the first time in Greece, of the slab track system in the area of Tempi installation of a modern ETCS level I signalling system and telecommunications installation of electrification completion of the expropriations of the necessary land Tunnels: 2 tunnels with a total length of approximately 8,300 m. Cut & Cover: 4 cut-and-cover structures with a total length of approximately 1,000 m. Railway bridges: 21 Grade-separated crossings: 13 of great length and many smaller ones. Stations/stops: 3 railway stations (Rapsani, N. Poroi and Leptokarya) and 1 stop (Evangelismos).
