Upgrading of the Oinoi – Tithorea and Domokos – Thessaloniki sections

Description

The project concerns works to upgrade the substructure and superstructure of the railway line and to construct fencing on selected sections of the existing double-track railway line Oinoi – Thessaloniki, so as to achieve an operating speed of up to 200 km/h. The upgraded sections amount to approximately 255 km of single-track equivalent and are located in the areas of Oinoi – Tithorea, Domokos – Larissa and Aiginio – Thessaloniki. The project comprises: works to upgrade the substructure of the line where the condition of the track is problematic works to upgrade the superstructure of the line, replacing worn materials and correcting the cant of curves minor structures, mainly for rainwater drainage, and cleaning of existing ditches fencing of identified sections of line, mainly near railway stations
