Repair of sabotage damage

Hellenic Railways S.A. (OSE) announces that the fault in the remote control and signalling cables, caused yesterday afternoon by the actions of unknown persons between the stations of Plati and Aiginio, has been fully repaired.

Immediately after the malfunction was detected, a team of technicians went to the site for an on-site inspection, during which it was established that the fault had been caused by an act of sabotage against cable installations of the network.

Specialised OSE crews worked intensively to repair the fault. Following the completion of the works and the prescribed safety checks, the remote control and signalling systems have already been returned to normal operation.

Hellenic Railways S.A. (OSE) is cooperating with the competent authorities in the investigation of the incident.
